Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport

Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Pics And Review

The Bugatti launched an open-top version of the 253mph Bugatti Veyron Supercar. The new roofless Bugatti called as “Grand Sport” will be unveiled at this year's Pebble Beach Concourse d'Elegance on August 17, 2008 and production is set to start in spring of 2009.

The Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport features a removable roof and more exclusive added features from its previous model. The new design of the Veyron “incorporates innovative structural solutions, designed to ensure the roadster offers the same extremely high levels of performance and passive safety as the coupe version,” the company said to the press. Bugatti is yet to confirm if the new Veyron Grand Sport will be able to reach the same 253mph (407km/h) top speed just like the first Veyron, but the added weight of the reinforcements are expected to come at a cost to performance.

Bugatti is yet to reveal how many open-top Veyron Grand Sports will be produced and when the first cars will be available. The very first build slot for this new car, to be built in Spring 2009, will be auctioned the day after the concept version is first shown in Pebble Beach.

Special edition Veyrons has previously released including the Pur Sang, the Sang Noir, the Pegaso, and the Fbg par Hermès.

2010 Chevrolet Camaro Pics And Review

2010 Chevrolet Camaro

The First Generation of Chevrolet Camaro made by Chevrolet Motor Division of General Motors was launched in September 1966 for the 1967 model year. It was also designed as a rivalry to the Ford Mustang. Five generations have passed making this car leave a very remarkable name in automobile history. During the 2006 North American International Auto Show on January 9, 2006, the 5th Generation Camaro was released. The concept car is powered by a 400hp LS2 V8 engine and equipped with the T-56 six-speed manual transmission.

The 2010 Chevrolet Camaro with the tag line “fun, efficient sports car for the 21st century” was unveiled at the General Motors Design Center in Warren, MI. The designer of the Camaro Concept Coupe and the Camaro Convertible Concept, Sangyup Lee, had no idea the Chevrolet Camaro was so iconic. "I was kind of glad I didn't know how strong of an icon the Camaro was when I was first working on the project," he admits. This dramatically designed Camaro is gunning for it all with this all new model, it's main competitiors are the Dodge Challenger, Ford Mustang and the Nissan 350Z.

Camaro's drivetrain is expected with either six-speed manual or automatic transmissions, with a 3.6L direct-injection V6 rated at 300hp (224kW) and 273lb-ft (370Nm) of torque. The 6.2L LS3 V8 is rated at 422hp (314kW) and 408lb-ft (553Nm) of torque in manual guise and the 6.2L L99 V8 is good for 400hp (299kW) and 395lb-ft (535Nm) of torque in automatic form. There is still no word on the turbocharged four-cylinder that’s been rumored as a possibility for the past several months. The V6 is reportedly offering an estimated 26mpg highway, with a 23mpg rating for the V8 on the open road. Fuel efficiency is enhanced in the automatic-equipped V8 models with Active Fuel Management.

The transmissions available include the Hydra-Matic 6L50 six-speed auto for LS and LT trims and the Hyrda-Matic 6L80 for the SS - both autos have manual ‘tap-shift’ capability. Should you choose to row the cogs yourself, an Aysin-Warner AY6 six-speed manual is fitted in the LS and LT trims, with a Tremec TR6060 six-speed in the SS.

2009 Mercedes-Benz SL65 Pics And Review

2009 Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG Black Series

Mercedes Benz has unleashed the new 2009 Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG Black Series as its most powerful road car to date. This 2009 Mercedes-Benz is equipped with a more powerful and paramount 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12 that delivers 661 bhp and 738 lb-ft of torque. A carbon fiber hood, fixed roof, fenders and trunk has reduced it weight by 550 pounds. It holds a larger turbochargers, a more rationalize inter-cooler and modified exhausts to boost power by 57 hp to 670 hp.

Performance design are experimental, and AMG recommend that testing has yet to be settled. Though, Mercedes-Benz claims the SL65 AMG Black Series will accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in less than "3.9 seconds" and attain a top speed limit of 199 miles per hour. In similarity, the standard SL65 AMG figures are 0 to 60 miles per hour in less than 4.2 seconds and a limited 155 miles per hour top speed. On the other hand, due to the lower overall weight, fuel consumption improves from 15.6 mpg to 16.3 mpg in U.S. figures.

The SL65 AMG Black Series, to be priced at around $320,000, slots into the Mercedes-Benz lineup as an indirect substitute for the McLaren-built SLR coupe, which quietly discontinue production late last year upon the debut of the SLR roadster.
